First time at this restaurant! Had the chicken and shrimp Pad Thai and it was awesome. Comes in various forms of how hot, 1-5... With h5 being the hottest. Food was reasonably priced as well.

Had the neighboring Chinese restaurant been open, we wouldn't have ended up in Thai World. As it ended up, I'm glad the Chinese place was closed. Three dishes were plenty for the four of us. When we considered ordering a fourth item our server -- the owner's daughter -- advised against it. "Portions are large," she said. I'm discerning when it comes to Thai food and the consensus was positive: squid broccoli, masaman curry with chicken, Pad ke mow (noodles) with pork. Each dish was delicious. Service is attentive and friendly. Food is fresh, prices fair. A four star recommendation and worthy of a return visit.

Had the food to go. Wasn't expecting anything spectacular but boy was I wrong. The Chrispy duck in garlic sauce is to die for. The food was amazing. The chicken satay was perfectly seasoned. I was really surprised at how great the food tasted. I just moved here and have been recommended some great restaurants but was never told anything about Thai world. I wish I knew how great this restaurant is sooner. I'm glad I found this place without anyone giving me a recommendation. I found it on my own.

This place is amazing! I was told that their pad thai is the "best ever" from my brother so I decided to try this place. He was right. Their pad thai was not like other popular restaurant chains that serve it. It had a more unique, balanced flavor, not too sweet like the other places. I also tried the seafood garlic with mixed vegetables and that was great too. I came during lunch hour with a friend and we both got soup, eggroll (vegetarian!), chicken pad thai, and the seafood garlic plate. The bill came up to a perfect $23. Definitely try this place if you are ever in a Thai food mood :)

so i read a couple reviews of this place and wanted to check it out so i mentioned to a friend that i wanted some thai and without even telling her this is where i wanted to go, this is where she brought me. first of all i was super impressed that the lemon in my water had the peel cut and shaped to look like a flower of some sort. the wait staff was friendly and attentive. we ordered appetizers and chicken pad thai to play it safe and wow was i surprised not only was my portion huge, but my carrot was also carved into an ornate flower and my friends carrot into the shape of a pineapple. the food was delicious and the attention to detail made our dinner that much more spectacular. also, the thai ice coffee was to die for. loves it!

I am all about that good Thai food. I could remember coming into this place when the menu was only two pages, when the prices made my wallet smile, when people hardly knew that it was here and when the food was really good. But I am sorry to say that those days are long done. Now that their Menu is like reading a mini book and their prices shot up; the authentic Thai flavors went down. The Pad Thai needed some "Mo" flavor, the Thai Iced-tea was too strong and they removed the Angel Wings from their menu...I mean, the servers didn't even know what "Angel Wings" were! Anyway, the service was nice, the place is nicely renovated and the food tasted better before they added more pages to their menu. It's like they lost their true Thailand roots and they forgot where they came from!!! Man,...they started from the bottom and now they are..."just a nice looking Thai joint" with decent Thai food!!!

I give this establishment one star because of the absolutely horrible customer service. And to top it off, there's nothing too special about the food. We were given an estimate of 40 minutes waiting time to receive our food (delivery). Mind you, I know this is an estimate, not a guarantee, but usually estimates are over shot and deliveries come sooner, rather than later. That was not the case with this restaurant. After 50 minutes I called and was told it's a busy night and the food was already on its way (no apology for any inconvenience). After over 1 hour of waiting I call again. We live 1 mile down the street, so I didn't expect to have to call again. When I got the same person on the phone, he proceeded to tell me "I already told you the food is on its way" and "what do you want me to do about it". When I told him I was thinking of canceling my order, he was more than happy to be done with me and cancel. He didn't hesitate to let me know it was canceled. P.s. The delivery guy got here anyways a little over 1.5 hours after the order was made. And I repeat, the food was "ok".

Fried wontons are the best. Wonton soup is excellent. Thai world chicken is one of the best chicken dishes you will eat. Basil chicken us also tops. Get some chicken fried rice. The whole fried fish is a definite want. Family and friends whiny have recommended go there are never disappointed.

UPDATE: I have been here many times since I wrote this first review and I am still very happy with the value / quality proposition. Basic Thai in a basic restaurant in a basic setting. It would not be fair to compare this restaurant with a high end Thai restaurant charging much much more. Lunch is also a great deal.

I love this gem of a restaurant. It is hidden (or tucked away) in a little strip mall. It's located in quite a cultural corner; a Thai restaurant in between a Chinese restaurant and Indian supermarket. But don't worry, for the unadventurous you will find your standard Burger King close by too. I have always had a great meal at Thai World. I love all of their curry dishes, but I usually order the duck curry. My second favorite meal is the Pad Thai. Take advantage of lower prices at lunchtime. I also enjoy how they serve multiple Asian beers too! Every restaurant that serves cultural food should serve beers from their country. On my goal to try different cultural foods I can say that I have tried Thai food.

Used to be a top contender for great Thai food, now not so much. It is located in East pembroke pines and not the best quality. It feels as if the service has really gone down in quality too. They do have great lunch specials though!

This place is dizzylicious!! How surprised was I to find such a gem in the chain-riddled neighborhood of Pembroke Pines!? VERY! The Special Fried Rice has more shrimp/chicken/beef than rice! Okay, maybe I exaggerate, but Thai World is not one of those restaurants that give you fried rice and you have to DIG to find the one shrimp/scrap of chicken. BTW, they only use white meat here, which is fabulous! I can't say that this is the most authentic Thai that I've had, but it is still good, spicy food! You can tell the waiter how spicy you want it, and the spicy is actually spicy! Plus, the staff is very sweet, and if you order takeout online, you get 10% off! Here are a few dishes I've tried: The green curry is surprisingly delicious. The bamboo sprouts are delicately crunchy and full of flavor. (I ordered this almost every time I went!) Pad Thai was nothing spectacular. Pad See Ew was a strong B+. The Tom Yum Goong was full of flavor. Yellow curry was spicy and flavorful.

I have been to this restaurant many times and have never been disappointed. It's a small, family-run establishment with some of the best Thai food I've ever had. Their currys are incredibly good, the tom kha gai soup is the best in South Florida, and they are very accommodating on special requests. I can't recommend it enough. It's always clean and the decor is very Thai. Go there and you won't be disappointed.

I have been going to this place for years! They have the best pad thai that I ever tasted! In addition, their menu is full of great dishes to try. The chicken and beef satay are great paired with their peanut sauce. I ordered fried snapper for a special event and it did not disappoint! The large evenly cooked fish was well worth the price. I usually get chili sauce (not spicy) with it. I recently tried their yaki soba and I have ordered it with my usual order ever since. I also enjoy their thai iced tea. It's a sweet treat to have on a hot day. The staff is super friendly and remembers my family every time we dine-in. It's a great restaurant and I highly recommend it!

We came with our two friends and ordered chicken skewers and the coconut shrimp soup for all of us to share. The chicken skewers and peanut sauce were delicious but the soup wasn't convincing. We then ordered fried duck, red curry beef, and chicken pad thai to share. The fried duck was pretty good. The pad thai was decent. But my favorite was the red curry beef. The thai iced tea and thai donuts were amazing. Great place! Will visit here again!

I used to go to Weight Watchers meetings in the store front adjacent to this restaurant and I would curse the existence of this place. I never ate here back then, but my love for Thai food pulled me back here years later. The food is delicious!! Everything was terrific, the panang, all of the curries, and of course the good ol' standby the pad thai.

Little family owned restaurant tucked away in a plaza across from a major mall. I am surprised anyone ever found this jem. I love their food and have been frequenting this place for years. There is always a friendly face serving you here and the prices are right. Check it out!

Went to lunch with some coworkers who are big fans of the place. We got out to lunch a little early, and we were the first ones in to the restaurant for the day. The location itself is standard strip mall action, but it is at least easy to get in and out of. Everyone in the party ordered a lunch special, which comes with soup, the most adorable tiny eggroll, and the entree (which I would only barely call a "lunch" portion). The lunch specials are very reasonably priced. My curry and the hubby's pad thai were both great... I ate wayyyy more than I needed but it was too good to step away from. The crowd started to pick up as we were finishing; it looks like they get a decent sized bunch in there at noon but it didn't seem to affect the service at all. Definitely going back.

This was my last restaurant visit before I go back home to Tampa and I have to say I was not disappointed! First off this was my first ever Thai food experience so I didn't exactly know what to expect but it was very good. I decided to keep it simple and go with chicken pad thai at the suggestion of my friend. We ordered just in time to get the lunch menu pricing which was great. I think it was $7.50 for each of the 2 entrees we ordered and they also give you soup and a spring roll with it. The most important thing to me was that the service was amazing! Seriously the best service I've had while down here and that's extremely important to me. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to eat delicious food at a good price and have an enjoyable experience while doing it! This is definitely on my list to revisit the next time I'm down here!

Food sucks. Either over or under seasoned. The fact that server cannot take order of three dishes, i will not be returning. Pad see ew is made with Pad Thai noodles. They don't even deserve a star.

I LOVE this place! I cant say enough about it. The food is always amazing. The thai world chicken is the best "volcano chicken" around. They give great portion sizes and the staff is always friendly. I have had just about every chicken, shrimp or beef dish on the menu. Cant complain about one of them.

Great little spot for a quick lunch tried a soup and one of the combos for appetizers. didnt like the fried wonton or the fried dumpling but the soup was delish. would be back to try other stuff. place was packed, always a good sign when looking for a spot in a mall.

Service was slow; cleanliness of place was in question; food was at best average but probably a little below. Lotus of Siam in Las Vegas is best Thai restaurant in North America.

I got take out from there tonight, it's been about four years or so since I was last there. service was slow. but place is clean and taken care of. food was 'eh' at best. personally I like amazing Thai in west pines and plantation way more. my favorite is emerald Thai off 84. but to settle my Thai curry craving this worked fine. I will say their peanut dressing for the salad is great and they do give a great house salad... not all lettuce- lots of tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, and crispy wontons. but I'm not going to a Thai place for a house salad...

Wife and I ordered soups, an order of fried WonTons, crispy duck, and a Pad noodle dish with basil, onions, & chili sauce. Everything tasted amazing, service was fast and courteous, and our check came out to $40. Highly recommended.

Nicely suprised how good the food was. Both Thai coconut soups, chicken and just veggie was very good. Shrimp Pad Thai was seasoned to perfection with great toppings on the sides of the dish so you can mix in the amount of peanuts and sliced carrots you want. The Thai World chicken was delicious with very fresh veggies, huge portion. The #1 appetizer combo was very good with the fried wonton being a little over fried, but we kind of like them that way. Our server was excellent and the price was much lower the other Thai restaurants in the area. Definitely going back again.

Shrimp fried was so fresh with that little hint of sweet was enough for two. Had dinner there last week. Pad Thai was terrific. I loved the peanuts. We had an outstanding appetizer. Don't remember the name but it had mounds of red rices noodles and was unbelievable. It is the last item on the appetizer list. Service is friendly and you are never rushed. Love it

I eat a lot of thai food, and so far my favorite is still thai time in San Diego. But this place was a close second. I ordered panang curry with beef, shrimp curry, tom kha soup and appetizer platter. Everything was very flavorful. The only thing I didn't like was the oily appetizer platter.

I'm certainly no connoisseur of Thai food nor do I really ever eat it since I've never found a good consistent Thai place. I called in and placed a take order and was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. Hmmmm, ready in 10 minutes on a Saturday night?Immediately I thought to myself, I was either going to have to wait for my food longer than 10 minutes or if it was ready how good could my food be made that quickly? When I arrived there was only one couple eating. Hmmmm. Could this be another warning sign? The young man that greeted me was very polite and immediately brought me my prepared food. Ready in 10 minutes and only 1 couple eating there on a Saturday night........the food was GREAT. I really enjoyed it. I ordered the green curry shrimp and vegetable fried rice. The green curry shrimp was so light and not overly saucy. The vegetable fried rice was just ok. It was mostly rice very little vegetables.

The place we usually go for Thai is closed Mondays so we decided to give Thai World a try since it had such good reviews. Well they didn't disappoint! The food was very tasty. I had the Massaman Curry Chicken and hubs had the Pad Thai with Chicken and Shrimp. Both plates were delicious. Service was great too. Our waiter was very nice and attentive.

So decided to try this place to see if they are any good. People working there are nice and fast for to go food. I don't know how it is dinning in so I can't really review on that. The only issue I had is the food. I ordered clear noodles with fried tofu, and fried wonton. Ok the wontons were so fried it was hard to bite into them, I ended up scratching the roof of my mouth. The clear noddles with tofu was soo greasy and the seasoning wasn't right. I feel sick to my stomach and having reflux because it was soo greasy. This is not good thai food. Yuck! It just didn't cut it for me. It is good to try places but I will not be returning .

I live right down the street from Thai World and from first glance it's hard to see, nestled in a hidden cul-de-sac between a Jamaican spot and a nail salon. The food is amazing from start to finish. The crispy duck was spiced just right, with added sweetness to balance out its great taste. The curry's are also delictable, from the green to the red (spicy #5 is gr8). It's a quaint place with great service, and a neighborhood feel. LOVE IT!

My usual Thai place was closed for a month as they visited Thailand and I had a craving for Thai food and didn't want to drive far from the office.. Against my instincts I went over to Thai world. Humm..restaurant about one third full and just one lady attending. She did everything: phones, serving, bussing, cashier, waitress etc...and she did it quite efficiently! Food came out and I had pad Thai with beef ( not on the menu but they made it for me) and chicken satay. Came with a wonton like soup and a mini egg roll. Egg role very tasty. Chicken satay was pre-made with a curry coconut glace and peanut sauce and cucumber on the side, IT WAS A LARGE serving. Could have been a main dish! In fact the waitress told me some people just have the satay and an order of rice! Amount was so value for money that I didn't even ask about the grill ( as they didn't provide one as they were pre fully cooked and sauced) and took most of it home. The beef pad thai was also good if a tad home style flavor. it was good! At the end I had their sticky rice with mango....very good. If your in Pembroke Pines or nearby give this little place a chance you wont regret it!

Stopped by for lunch... $9.95 lunch special with duck was what i decided to try. The soup and egg roll weren't bad, but the duck itself wasn't all that great. It was re-cooked so it was rather dry and crunchy. Id rather drive to my favorite place on Bird Rd to pay $1.00 more and get a lot more food with a lot more taste.

I just have to say this place is so gross. I believe you should check out the bathroom of a restaurant and depending on the cleanliness or lack thereof, you can judge the cleanliness of the restaurant. This bathroom was so incredibly stinking filthy! The door is black around the edges where it should be green. Stay away from here if you want to avoid food poisoning. I can not remember what I ate or if it was remotely good. I felt like I was eating at a rest stop gas station or something.

This little gem in East Pembroke Pines has been around for years. It holds a special place in my heart, as it's one of the first places i ever went to with my now husband. I can tell you that from start to finish, everyone is very courteous and always there to serve you. The food prices are reasonable and the amounts are large. I especially love their Red curry chicken. It has just the right amount of coconut milk and spices, and the vegetables are perfectly steamed to add that crunch. My hubby prefers the Fried Garlic squid, and that is also perfection!! I am always sad that it's going to close, as it's out of the way of a lot of things. I hope it stays forever, as it's our "go to" place for good, Thai food.

LOVE this place! Me and the hubby haven't found a bad dish yet. I usually get the chicken pad thai, YUM and my husband loves the masa man curry! So glad we found this place when we moved to the area.... And their lunch is good too. Comes with soup and rice. The people there are always so friendly and quick with service! Totally recommend.

I really wanted to like this place, based on good Yelp reviews and a warm greeting when I made my reservation. Food quality was consistent with the reviews: quite good. But the service was so inattentive, confused, and disorganized, and the manager/owner so cluelessly out of touch with the operation of the dining room, that I sadly had to assign 2 stars and was even tempted to assign just one, on the basis of horrendously incompetent service, inadequate communication between the waitstaff and kitchen, and the manager's lack of oversight and supervision.

Love it, love it, love it! Try the Tun Kha Goong soup - delish! I adore the curried crispy duck. Always great every time I go. One day I'll try something else new, but the soup and the duck are my go to at Thai World. The service is always pleasant. I'm surprised it's not more crowded.

Big fan, I stop by for lunch at least once a week when I'm in the area. I tend to stick to the curries - green, red, panang, and the yellow which is especially nice.

I haven't had such good Thai food until I went to Thai World. Read the Yelp reviews first and headed over to the restaurant for lunch. Got 2 lunch specials to go. The price was right and I could bring the second dish home for dinner. I had the Chicken Pad Thai and Panang Chicken. Both came with rice and a spring roll and both were delicious. Yesterday I went back again, and again ordered 2 lunch specials, the Pad Thai and Massaman Chicken. Again, just delicious! The lunch special is such a good portion, that I can actually split it into two meals (I'm female with a small stomach). Ok, the decor is a bit kitschy, but the food is downright good.

First time at this place this week. Service was ok. My girlfriend and I had the Pad Thai and Massaman Curry. Both were deliciously amazing!!!

Very good Thai Food with veggie options or variations of their dishes... Great tofu pad thai and basil sauce dish... Try it with Tofu

The only thing I didn't like was the oily appetizer platter.

great food, thought it would be a bit more spicy. Service was good as well.

Overpriced and bland food. 13.00 for vegi pad Thai. No napkins or utensils. Small portions. Go somewhere else.

I have only had lunch here once but the pad thai was spot on. Who doesn't love a great pad thai? Service was prompt and friendly and the place is spotless. Will eat here again for dinner the explorethe full menu. Massaman curry is next up.

This place has great Thai food. They have an affordable lunch deal that comes with soup and a spring roll. Just be careful on how hot you order your food... Medium goes a long way here!

Love the clear noodles with chicken. Great portion size. Did I mention yummy?

This restaurant still holds the title for best tasting thai food around this side of town. Love their Pad Thai, Red Curry, Fried Rice, Tiger Tear and their mouth watering Thai Donuts!
(4)suzanne H.
Love it, love it, love it! Try the Tun Kha Goong soup - delish! I adore the curried crispy duck. Always great every time I go. One day I'll try something else new, but the soup and the duck are my go to at Thai World. The service is always pleasant. I'm surprised it's not more crowded.
(5)Daniel F.
Large portions, good prices. I ordered the special fried rice, it was basic but tasted great, it met all my expectations.
